Mrs. Mary Tate started a place in the treasure
valley that served the special event market. ‘Occasions’ was
established in 1977. Syd Tate also wanted to have a specialty
store to serve the themed events in the valley and opened a
store called Décor Rents in 1993. Décor Rents hand made
Hawaiian themed props, cultural themed props and many other
event specific decorations. Both businesses grew along with
the valley and we moved both entities into our home here on
Chinden Blvd. and changed our name to Tates Party Rents as we
are known today.
Since those times, the valley has continued to grow and so has
the special event market. The Tates family is still very
involved in the structure of their company and very proud to
see it as it is today after all of their hard work. The focus
has never left the customer because we know how important you
are and we would not be here without you.
We have two main focuses here at Tates Party Rents. We focus
on our customers and our employees. We believe that in order
to provide excellent customer service and go above and beyond
the expectations of our customers, we have to start with
extraordinary employees.
We take opportunities whenever they are offered to exceed
expectations and standards of our customers. We know and
believe that customers and employees are the reason we are so
successful today. We plan to continue building relationships
and exceeding expectations each and every year. We are
extremely thankful to have been a part of this valley’s
special event market for so long.
We genuinely appreciate and encourage any feedback that is
